When finished using the Fountain press the STOP button and the ON/OFF/POWER button.  Always unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet before cleaning the Fountain.  Never permit the electrical cord to come into contact with water.

The Fountain must be cleaned after each use and each part must be cleaned thoroughly.

NOTE:  THE BASE OF THE FOUNTAIN MUST NEVER BE IMMERSED IN WATER OR ALLOW TO ENTER THE VENTILATION HOLES.

1.  Using a RUBBER spatula, scrape any remaining chocolate or fondue substance off of the tiers, allowing it to flow down into the Basin.

2.  With a paper towel or food handling gloves on, remove the Crown, Top Tier, and the Stabilizer from the top of the Cylinder.  Then remove the Auger out of the Cylinder.

3.  Using the RUBBER spatula, again scrape any remaining chocolate or fondue substance off of the Tiers, allowing it to flow down into the Basin.

4.  With a paper towel or food handling gloves, grasp the Cylinder and lift it off the Basin pins.  Note:  A simple plastic grocery bag is helpful in transferring the parts from Fountain to sink.

5.  Remove the Basin by twisting it counterclockwise until it is free of the Base unit.  Carefully pour the chocolate or fondue into a storage container if you intend on using it for another occasion, or into a plastic bag for disposal.  Never pour leftover chocolate down a drain.  Chocolate poured directly in the drain may harden in the drain pipes and result in damage and blockage of the drain system.

6.  All components, with the exception of the BASE may be washed by hand in warm, soapy water and rinsed & dried thoroughly.

DO NOT USE ABRASIVE SCOURING PADS OR SCOURING POWDERS TO CLEAN THE STAINLESS STEEL OR PLASTIC COMPONENTS.  DOING SO WILL DULL THE FINISH.

7.  Finally wipe the BASE of the fountain with a warm damp cloth to remove any residue and dry thoroughly.

DO NOT IMMERSE THE BASE OF THE FOUNTAIN IN WATER OR ALLOW LIQUIDS TO ENTER THE VENTILATION HOLES IN THE HOUSING.
Doing so will cause damage to the electrical components.
